The Visionz Lounge project aims to provide a comprehensive financial strategy and valuation analysis for a luxury corporate and community lounge in Durham Region. The primary goal is to develop a robust business valuation model that incorporates various valuation methods, including asset-based, income-based, and market comparables. Student teams will analyze different strategies for raising capital, such as equity, debt, bonds, and dividends, to determine the most effective approach for the lounge's financial growth. Additionally, the project will involve assessing the financial and strategic impact of potential partnerships and collaborations, focusing on how these alliances can enhance the overall value of Visionz Lounge. This project offers learners the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in finance and real estate to a real-world scenario, fostering critical thinking and strategic planning skills.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a detailed business valuation report that outlines the chosen valuation methods and their outcomes. Students will also provide a strategic capital-raising plan, highlighting the recommended structures and their potential impact on the lounge's financial health.
