Project examples

Beginning in October, students in groups of 5 will spend 200 hours per team working to help you appraise and manage the performance of your employees for your organization.

Based on the information and goals that you provide, students will analyze your existing performance management plan, or develop a custom research-based plan that will help achieve your goals.

Example project topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Performance management and legal compliance.
  • Job analysis and performance appraisal design and critique.
  • Performance feedback and employee development.
  • Performance evaluation and rewards.
  • Decision making in managing and motivating performance of employees.

Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

  • Q1 - Checkbox
    Be available for a quick phone call with the organizer to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.
  • Q2 - Checkbox
    Conduct an in-class presentation on Oct. 16, introducing your organization and the specific problem/issue that you are facing.
  • Q3 - Checkbox
    Provide a dedicated contact who will be available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address student’s questions or provide additional information.
  • Q4 - Checkbox
    Minimum of 2-4 interactions with the students in-person or remotely (approximately 4-6 hours over the duration of the project).
  • Q5 - Checkbox
    Provide feedback to student teams during check-in meetings and in response to students' email check-ins, to ensure teams are on the right track and expectations are aligned.
